Oooh, cannot wait! But I suppose, without my time machine, I will have to :(

I started reading the Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy so that I could read And Another Thing… once it was released. Though frankly now that I had finished the first and now getting through The Restraunt at the End of the Universe, I love Douglas Adam’s work. So, I’m glad even if the book isn’t as had hoped. Since in a way, Mr. Colfer introduced me to one of my now most favorite authors.

this book is utter rubbish. it is as if colfer went out of his way to write a terrible novel. i wasn’t expecting it to sound like Adams’ writing, because no one will ever emulate his style – nor would i want them to just copy it. what we have here…it’s like a teenage version of the characters. they don’t sound even REMOTELY like their true selves. the story is trite and full of cheap laughs. the ideas are rubbish. the opening of “virtual reality” has been done a million times before (red dwarf did it in the early 90s). i was expecting at least some good ideas and a fairly decent plot. if i’d have been 50% satisfied, i would have considered this book as success. I give it a big zero out of ten. no redeeming features at all. colfer should not do another and stick to writing books purely aimed at teenagers. dreadful. dreadful. dreadful. if you think this “captures the spirit of hitchhikers” then you don’t get hitchhikers at all.

A freak who can’t accept anything except for Douglas Adam’s books? I think yes. Must mud-men always react in such an over-reacting manner. Utter foolishness. Mudmen will be the one to wipe out their own species. We, centaurs will be the one to revitalize Earth. 42 obviously doesn’t know what the word “opinion” means. It does not matter if someone thinks that it “captures the spirit of hitchhikers” why be annoyed by that. Then again, mudmen are the self-promoting beings.
