Yep,I am meeting you at the Imagine Festival woohoooo!I just can’t wait to meet you!

  2. 2 Salali

I’ve never been skiing. Is it fun? I still am very sad about Artemis’ story being done (for now, I know) but I guess I will come to terms with it in a while. *sob*
Why does it seem like all the cool book signings and stuff happen in London? Honestly, what’s so great about London? And no, I’m not bitter!

  3. 3 Miri

I hope I can make it to a US show! (But with all the traveling you’re doing, please take care of yourself.)

Um, that goes for skiing too. Please don’t, y’know, die.

I snapped up Airman the moment I saw it and read it in two days. I think it’s my favorite book of yours yet. Seriously, brilliant. I absolutely loved it.

Though I’ve noticed you’ve now got a brace of seventeen-year-old standing characters. Is it different, writing the older teens versus the younger like Cosmo and Fletcher? Just curious.

  4. 4 Joakim

I am a great fan from Norway. Do you have any plans to visit Norway? Do you think your books about Artemis will become filmed in the future?

  5. 5 BabyLy

EOIIIIN!Why don’t you come here in Italy?I just want to meet you so much!ç__ç you’re my inspiration and my idol!Please!ç__ç
Fairy dust and kisses for you!
    LOVE YA!

Well I’ve been watching this blog for quite a while but have never actually left a comment before. I’d just like to say that I’m very happy about the “brace of seventeen-year-old standing characters” Miri mentioned.
Personally I’ve basically “grown-up” with Artemis, and have yet to have any desire to stop reading the books. To my personal knowledge, many older fans feel this way, as the majority of my friends are fans of your work also. But I’m glad to see you embracing the older protagonists as well. I’d very much welcome an adult series, as well as anymore teen books you plan on.
And a final note regarding your visit to the resent London Comic-Con: I am a Holly cosplayer, but I’m sadly limited to the lower Florida area.

  7. 7 TigOnATog

Hope you have a nice rest (though short it is) before going back on tour!

So, London? Very nice. Another US and UK tour? Oh, fabulous. Even going to South Africa, eh? Great! Erm… What about the giant island, you know, the big blot on the south-east side of the map? Well, I s’pose you just missed it. ;)
Mr. Colfer, it seems you are actively trying to prevent yourself from coming to Australia. We don’t bite, y’know. Promise! The kangaroos don’t have rabies, but if you’re that worried you could get a shot. Just come to see us! Your fans Down Under are definitely feeling unloved. I’d love to get an autograph, come to a show, the whole bit, but you just never come around!

I know you have a load on your plate right now, but at least schedule in a visit, a quick hello, sometime in the future. =] We’re nice people, and we like you! (And your fantastic accent!)

  8. 8 Half Moon Fan

Hi I know this is really random but are you thinking about making another Half Moon book? beacause when I got it yesterday I couldent but it down but when my parents forced me to go to bed I couldent stop thinking about who it might be. When I finished it today I thought that Half Moon Investegations was the best book I’ve ever read! I’m just wondering if Red and Fletcher will slove any more crimes. So please please please write another Half Moon book!!!!!!!

  9. 9 Virginie

    Hello!
Just wanted to say how much I enjoyed reading the Airman! I got a proof of it, read it and as soon as it came in the shop, staffpicked it (although, your books don’t need me to sell, obviously!!!)
    … That’a it.
    Thanks

  10. 10 PI Fletcher moon

i LOOOOOOOOved Half moon investigations!!! it was awseome!! i didnt see the ending coming….i have all but 1 artemis fowl books, i have the wish list, supernaturalists, and the atemis fowl files. i would really appreciate if u came to my town, hagerstown, in maryland united states. im sure u wouldnt wanna leave ireland, since its soo bueatiful there…but please comsider it. anyway, i love the books u have written. i look forward to another installment in the artemis fowl series or half moon investigations..love the books!!!

It’s sad to say that I havn’t been able to read AIRMAN..and I’ve been craving for it since I heard it was going to be published… but since I live somewhat near TigOnATog,,small pieces of island called Indonesia?? Ever heard of it?no? ah well,, I havn’t find any published Airman so I need to wait until it comes (n it’s going to be xpensive too…ah well)

It would be nice if you could come and pay a visit there too..since I wouldn’t be able to swim all the way to UK or Ireland or wherevr you are now..but please consider on making a quick peek at my main country (Jakarta, btw),,I think (and hope) dat it’s cheap to come to Indo…is it?and it’s near Australia,,just a couple of rows and you’re there so if you are interested to visit the Southern side of the globe, think of the island!

I know 1 day Artemis will leave this world bt I don’t want Artemis to end…*sniff* argh!
    Keep on writing!

  12. 12 Bree

Yah! Its great to finally hear from one of my favorite authors. Its a little to sad to hear that Artemis Fowl is ending but I hope it ends well. I keep reading series books that are fantastic but when the series is over the ending sucks and I don’t wanna face another disappointment (no pressure, seriously). But it was great hearing from ya.
    :)

    I know Eoin is probably never gonna ever read this, but I just have to say this or I’m about to explode;

Eoin Colfer is a genius. I know hundreds of other people have written stuff on this like”LOL! AF IS THE BEST!” and I probably seem like one of the other bandwagoners, but I geniunely think that your books are the best. I was like, a super-fan of Harry Potter, but then I read Artemis Fowl, Half-Moon Investigations, Airman(which is the best book ever, maybe tying with AF) and i like , fall in love with the characters. That’s how good you write. Way better than Harry Potter, which is just the same things over and over again in every book. (Hogwarts Hogwarts Hogwarts—OK Jk rowling, youre done. next time try to be more creative.)I hope you write hundreds of books, because every book I’ve read so far of yours, I have been captivated with. I just can’t stop thinking how great they are. Books are the best thing ever, and your books top them all.

I’m not just saying this. I truly believe it.

I wish i could meet you.
    PLEASE write more books!

  14. 14 Joanna

Hiya, you honestly are one of my fave authors! When I heard that Artemis Fowl was coming to a end I was sad. Artemis Fowl was by far the best book i have ever laid eyes on, even better than harry Potter! I hope the series ends really well, with a exciting and maybe unexpected finish. I read and read and read all the Artemis fowl books all the time when ever i am bored, or even to get ideas for i book i am hoping to get published. I am starting to read all your other books, and they are awesome.

    Hope your writng goes well.
    c ya!

  15. 15 Nate

You are, by a long shot, one of the greatest young-adult authors of this decade. Artemis Fowl and The Supernaturalists were wonderfully clever novels that I couldn’t keep my eyes, my hands or my mind off of. I loved reading them profusely and it inspired me so much to write stories of my own - as well as making me continue to think about Artemis in action.

    Rest well!

P.S. just wondering if there were any plans for a Artemis Fowl movie to be made - I’ve been anticipating one ever since I began reading the books.

  16. 16 Jasmine[The Devil's Living Nightmare...THE COATRACK OF ETERNAL PERIL!]

    Hey Eoin!
i just wanna say that you are a friggen’ AMAZIN’ author! You ROCK!And I wanna share an idea i had during one of my VERY rare brain-waves…[This shows I am the total opposite of Artemis Fowl. He's a boy,I'm a girl. He's calm,I'm insane. He likes classical,I like punk. He's a genius,I have the average intelegence of a door handle.]I thought of making a Play station game abut the new missions of Holly Short.I even thought up a title:
    “Free In Flight
    The Adventures of Holly Short”
    Ya like?Please reply!And keep writing about Arty’s mind-blowing adventures
    Jasmine

PS:I can’t wait to get the sixth Artemis Fowl book!I wanna see him get cranky at the twins! That’d be well funny! And I think Artemis and Minerva are PERFECT for eachother. They should DEFINATLY be in love

  17. 17 Jyri

Eoin, I missed you in London because we had a sort of family holiday there but in Easter. :S

Well, I atleast bought Airman and it rocks! You have really studied the laws of physics for it! :)
By the way, do the Saltee Isles exist?

I’m looking forward to The Time Paradox and the movie too! I’ve read almost everything you have written (still looking for The Wishlist which seemed ingenious, according to the first chapter).

Don’t know how many times this has been mentioned but Arty is a great invention.

Excuse me if my English ain’t the best though,

    A fan from Finland

  18. 18 Jennifer

  22. 22 Madeline C

Hey!! You probably don’t remember meeting me and a few of my friends a couple times when you were here in Minnesota. Well, I have been a big fan of Artemis and co, as well as many of your other works, since like forever. I know you’ve probably heard this thousands of times, but your books stay just as awesome no matter how old I get. I am currently eighteen and trying to decide where to go for college. I had to drive myself down and back to a college in the middle of Iowa, five hours away. I would have probably died of cornfield-induced boredom had I not gotten Artemis Fowl on tape from the library. I listened to it for a good part of the way there and almost the entire way back, and honestly found myself disappointed when the last tape was over. I almost appreciated it more than I had a few years ago. Maybe it’s bad that I’m not reading gossip magazines and fashion reports instead, but your books have always made me laugh and feel a whole lot better. :D And how did I not know there was a fifth Artemis Fowl???? I am ashamed.

  23. 23 'ryssa

    Hey Mr.Colfer!

Just wanted to say, absolutely love your books, hope Artemis falls in love with Minerva, & what on earth is the Fowl Operations Xplorer passwords?! It’s driving me nuts. Oh, also, hope the new book comes out soon! Maybe Artemis will get a time growth spurt & turn back to his technical age!

  25. 25 Jenn

I’m 38 and my whole family LOVES the Artemis series. I listen to the Audio books all the time. They are among my favorites! Thanks for writing this terrific series that speaks to my inner child and to my children.

  26. 26 Samantha Rule

    Hullo Eoin!!

I have to agree with you there. I get heckling for still picking up young adult books. But the lexicon majority of the time is by far more verbose and stimulating, makes you feel smart ;). Where as a great deal of books aimed for adults make me feel like I’m being spoken to as if I was still in elementary school. Perhaps one of the many perks of the Artemis series that attracted my attention, written in a way that even adults could enjoy. Very well done :).

Hope you had a fun time skiing! Hope you’re still well and in one piece. I’ve only gone once, invigorating experience.

Looking forward to your visit to the states this July, I’ll check the sites to see if you’ll be anywhere near Las Vegas.

    Cheers!

    helloooo

Well, just wanted to say i love the Artemis Fowl series. they-are-amazing.

(weird story) today a friend and i were talking about The Eternity Code. and we both cried when Butler (though he did come back to life) died. and (my pal)is 16…well i guess he was 14 or something at the time but…yes it’s true…now i’m rambling.

so anyway your books are BETTER than j.k. rowling (don’t tell her i said that) haha. also i live near Chicago and after reading Eternity Code i noticed there IS a building in Chicago that has a needle type thingy on it. i was extatic. and i have something else…parings…please no…stick with your original plan. please? whatever it IS i’m sure it’s just fabulous. when are you coming to america next? i’m to lazy to look and anyway I still have to write a haiku…

i suppose i have nothing else to say…i’m sure you are very busy so i’ll have to thank you for listening, but if you have any time feel free to write!

    so long…

  28. 28 Hi Eoin

We are from 3rd class in Patrick’s De La Salle in Kilkenny, Ireland. We love all your books, thank you for the books. We would recommend your books to anyone. We are reading “The Worst Boy In The World” at the moment. Our favourite bits are the Jellybaby and It’s Not Fair.
Do you have any new books coming out? What would it be about? Will there be any fighting like over the jellybaby? Will you get loads of money for your new books, will you spend it on Match Attax? Who is your favourite football team?

    Thanks Again,
    3rd Class

  29. 29 Lola

Okay, so like, remember that time you went to Florida, and like, you couldn’t find a taxi becuase the town was so small? And you had to ride home with people who came to your book signing? And, like, they left their kid there and we had to go back for her? Like, that was me!! OMG! Do you remember that? We still have your water bottle! And you stayed at the Disney Resort? I’ve been there sooo many times, and every time I go, I’m like, “OMG, Eoin Colfer was here!” WOW. Good times. That was soo great… you are such a great writer! Keep on writing all that you can, ‘cuz your books are, with out question, the best ever written in the entire world. I love you (and all your characters)! Keep writing!

    LOLA

  30. 30 Shailee

I just finished reading Airman and I must say it was a most gripping novel. The story was fantabulous and I have never been so glued to a book since I finished Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows! Way to go Mr.Colfer! And oh, we would love it if you’d tour India sometime.

  31. 31 Ciarán

I’m Ciarán and I’m ten and I live in Kilkenny. this is going to sound like evry single comment you get but YOU’RE MY FAVOURITE AUTHOR EVER! I was wondering, will there be any more adventures for Fletcher and Red?

  32. 32 raoul van de graaf
