I am an 18 year old author and really appreciate Eoin’s clever wit, especially in the Artemis Fowl series. I live in America and can’t wait to see how Eoin’s does with this next installment. I am sure it will be up to Eoin’s usual stunning standard.

Nail biting wait for the new book which I find that came out on the 20 of July but no, the waiting will only continue as my local book shop does not have stock yet. For my mental health (and nails which are beginnig to shorten at an alarming pace), please be released in South Africa soon!
Here in Germany you can get the book in English already. I’ll buy it tomorrow after my last exam (bit of light reading will be good ;D). I’m almost 21 now and have always loved the Artemis Fowl-series. You can’t imagine my delight when I saw that another book was coming out!

If anyone reading this comment has read the first chapter of the Atlantis Complex on Artemisfowl.co.uk, You will see that Artemis has a knack for the Number five and it’s multiples. Anything that was not five or a multiple of it was bad luck.
Now, go back to the Time Paradox (the last book in the series) and go to page 303.
It says, “Step on a Vine, Count to NINE.
Bad luck was the last thing he needed.”
Does anyone see that? That was pure wit and amazing foreshadowing on Eoin’s part. Or was it mere coincidence?
I adore this book series, I was given the first one for my tenth birthday and just haven’t looked back! All Eoin’s books are great, but this series is right up there.
Is it going to be released in paper back?
I have all the other novels in paperback, it would be a shame to not continue the trend

I have to share my psycic experience with this book. The other day my friend told me all about this really weird dream she had. She said that she dreamt it was my birthday (4 months away) and that she had givin me an artimis fowl book. This having never occured in the past and me thinking there wasnt another one coming out any time soon made me just laugh at her. A few days later i go on Eion Colfer’s website and fin out it was published the day she had the dream. Creeeeepy! =)
@Amiti- I find there’s quite a bit of foreshadowing if you know what to look for. Then again, it could just be me overanalyzing things like I’m wont to do so often.
I’m American myself, and I can’t wait for the third! It’s not so much the waiting for the book itself that’s driving me nuts (the excerpts and sneak previews have been great! Thanks, Mr. Colfer!), but more the fact that people lurk at every corner of the internet with spoilers. I’m fairly well known to my friends for my bad habit of reading spoilers (knowing full well I’m going to regret it) and then getting mad at the people who spoiled it for me. Nonetheless, I’ve managed to exercise restraint up to now, and hope to persevere until the third. Wish me luck!

It is somehow darker than all the others, so it’s good that Orion brings a little fun to it
I’ll have to get a copy in german once it’s out for my collection.

This book is very smart,I love the planning behind each adventure and the attention to every detail.I just recently found out about the graphic novel and look forward to reading them also. Just out of curiosity is there going to be a video series of the infamous Artemis Fowl, if not there should be.
I want to read the book now!! But I have to wait because in Spain probably it won’t come out until one or two years later… It’s horrible. I love Artemis Fowl’s book!

The ending dissapoints me if it’s the last book because it doesn’t really explain much. Please write another book Eoin! You could do another with Opal and her past self. You hinted that much in Atlatis Complex in the evacuation of Atlatis.

the series is way too good to be ended.
this book was a great book,especially the scene where artemis is in his own brain looking at what orion is doing to his social exterior.i can just imagine his expression…..myles and beckett were awesome……and funny.
the funny bits are way too funny and the scene where turnball says ‘fly away’ is extremely heartbreaking.one of the few books where the villain isnt a villain.
great story,extremely picturisque.
it made up for a light breezy reading,though…..
please keep on writing more and more artemis fowl books.
this is one of the few series that i remember whenever i think about the novels i really loved.
My sister and I went to our local bookstore on the day it came out! We both finished it on the same day! I loved it! I was devastated when you said that you were going to write only one more A.F. book.
This book was not one of thebest at all i think the end was a horriable way to end a book and i started reading the artemis Fowl books a month ago and hte first 4 were good buth the 5th 6th and 7th were not good because unlike the first book Artemis is rarely in charge any more and that is one reason i loved this book series. Also that Artemis kept on changing and becoming “good” i mean i thought the book series was about a young “mastermind” “THIEF” but now they do not really fit his discription at all. Another reason i do not like this book is because Angeline Fowl is making her son NORMAL i mean like Artmis said he is UNIQUE but not after angeline is done with him. So in conclusion the book was ok and this cant be the last book i mean it thearetically can but it shouldnt because the Opal Koboi from the past has not been apprehended so obiously she is going to come back IF Eoin writes another book. I personally think that Artemis’s brothers should be a big part in the next book like them be the evil master minds and they convince artemis to go back to the well “darkside” without any guilt. This is all my opinion.

I have just finished reading the Atlantis Complex, and I must say, you did put alot of work into it, and I am proud. But the only thing i I can’t seem to put aside, with respect to the editor, is the USA/Canada bookcover. I know that alot of money was put into making the image, but i just can’t stand the fact that there is too much detail, such as the infamous Artemis Fowls face. What I loved about the original covers was that they left you with very minimal material, and all the rest is however you visualize it. But these new covers are almost saying “This is how the scene will look.” It just puts a block on whatever imaginary image of scenes that comes to mind, such as Arty himself. With respect, I would like to request that the original bookcover, with Artemis diving into the water, also be released into the USA. If not, then ThankYou for at least acknowledging my request.

I grew up with artemis fowl, and i am such a huge fan of the series.
I know that you said you do not want there to be a Holly/Artemis romance, but couldn’t there be an artemis/minerva romance? Readers just would like to see artemis with a love interest…or maybe even an epilogue that flashes forward twenty years and shows aretmis happy!!

hello everyone ok heres how it is book 1 2 and 3 and 4 i absolutely LOVED i have every book except the lost colony and the atlantic complex now i just finished the time paradox book 3 days ago and a few bits where weird such as when holly kissed artemis 2 times… srsly? im not against im just making a huge point they arent from the same race and not to mention the fact holly (we find out is around 38) yrs old and artemis is 17 (he was in limbo for 3 yrs a timeless part of the world where time stops and doesnt move forward he was 14 then so his real age is atually 17 but he still looks like a 14 year old). anyway point is holly may be from a different species and a fairie (who live centuries) so to her 38 would be like 13-16 to us so shes truly 2 old for artemis but frankly that did interest me anyway my point being alot of fans in america want a holly/artemis love interest and i think idk yet that might happen in the atlantis complex ive been reading some things about it but i cant find the beginning or ending anywhere .. anyway good luck heading 2 boookstore tmrow love the books and its kinda sad ur only doing 1 more after the atlantis complex sad man anyway cya im going 2 bed
I read too fast! I finished 7 in three days and now I’m already crazy waiting for book eight. These books are addictive and nothing is wasted – even the complex came in handy! I finally got my sister to read them and we agreed that this one is the best. Hope he changes his mind about book eight being the last.
i wish he made anothre book SOOON like next year or somtin or isk but i wish he made more books like at least stopping at like 10 or somthing but i deff think artemis sould be evil again or well a theif anyways.

i agree with jane and artemis fowl (i dont know what your real name is)the first four book were brillant and clever.they were exploding with wit and fairy escapedes but then in the fifth book was different it started off showing a different fairy race but it was also enjoyable.then the 6th book was just weird im glad that it plot was great though,and finally the latest book ‘atlantis complex’ doesnt explain alot and its as if the fairies aren’t as superior as in the other books as the use mobile phones and emails.but i hope the final book includes a love interest for artemis,or maybe that no.1 gives him magic so him and holly can be together,but i also hope that artemis is back to normal i mean the way he plot things and doesn’t tell anybody everything until he needs to.also a lil bit of opal koboi confusion would be great
I can assure you, I am unsure about my adventures being released to the public, especially the authorities, yet I must admire the way Mr. Colfer narrates the tale. I am interested, of course, to see how he fabricates this adventure to say the least. Just know Mr. Colfer that I am keeping a close eye on your work just in case I need Butler to talk to you.
I just hope the LEP don’t mindewipe him, I enjoy these books to much!
Is there going to be a book after The Atlantis Complex? It sort of ended in a way that said, to be continued…or at least to me it did xD I wish it would never end *_* Anyways, love you’re books. I re-read them and re-read them and still can’t get enough of them
I heard there is going to be one more book after this, of which I’m quite glad…it certainly feels like this one was not meant to end the series. The entire series is quite awesome and this book was no exception.
I can´t wait to read it!! The bad part is that i have nooo idea when the book is going to arrive @ Mexico!! Don´t think im going 2 read it in spanish, strange enough I hate reading in spanish. I ordered it in the internet and it will get here someday next week maybe. CANT WAIT!!!
I already started reading it again! I have read all the others three times so I think I will let this one cath up before I start from book one again.(I have been reading the entire seris once a year)
!!! I got it the day it came out and I stayed up until about 3 a.m. reading it! Loved Orion! Laughed at Orion!!! I laughed at him a lot, actually… I almost died when Artemis disappeared…but then Orion started talking.
My fav book of all time is The Arctic Incident though. No one beats Root! Except for Artemis, who does so frequently.
To sum it all up: Artemis Fowl: The coolest anti-hero EVER.
…and he’s not evil. He’s misunderstood. With insecurities. But insecurities rock!
