Amazing!!!! It is as if you were channeling the Spirit of Douglas Adams himself. which would be awkward and ironic for him, being an Atheist. Just like Athor who prayed there was an afterlife, then changed his mind and prayed there wasn't one (contradicting himself) because of how uncomfortable it would be to meet everyone he knew that died. anyway i digress. You did Douglas justice and i am certain you did him proud. hoopy and froody!!!!!

I've been an avid fan for ovr thirty years when I first heard the radio series. I thought that any none-Adam’s penned sequel would be a major dissapointment (as had been the TV series) but I’ve just finsished listening to BBC Radio 4’s serialisation and I albsolutely love it. It’s a ************ SPOILER REMOVED******** but having heard Eoin Colfer’s sixth premier offering, I’m left clutching my towel and longing the seventh book of the trilogy. It really does mark a tremendous ending to the middle. I expect we'll have more sequels from Eoin Colfer as the trilogy cannot be considered complete until publication of the 42nd volume.

I've come rather late to this news, but ... RESULT! DNA left us with his finest symphony feeling a touch unfinished. Eoin Colfer is a writer with exactly the right irreverence and approach to the absurd that can carry this off. Jane - thank you for sanctioning this continuation, I truly cannot wait to see what twists and turns Eoin will take us along.

I will be very glad when the new book is done and delighted that you are doing this. I wondered what your views on lost property and improbability were.

Never read Colfer's books, but my nephew heartily recommends them. Besides, if Douglas' wife endorses him, I can do nothing but wish him all the success. FROODY!

Wow!! Unbelieveable. I have always loved the Hitchhiker books, but the ending always kind of threw me off. Douglas Adams always found some insane way of getting his characters through even the most hopeless situations, so all of them suddenly being blasted to bits was kind of an "Eh?" ending. Good luck!!

Thank you so much for taking on this obscenely difficult burden. Time will tell what everyone else thinks of your work, but I think this is just the catharsis we all need to get beyond the loss of our dear friend Mr. Adams. Best luck and best wishes in our endeavor! I eagerly await the result!
