Hitchcon’09
To mark publication of And Another Thing and to celebrate the 30th anniversary, Hitchcon’09 is taking place at the Royal Festival Hall, Southbank Centre, London SE1 8XX on Sunday 11th October.
11.30 – Photocall. A gathering of the largest number of Hitchhiker fans ever. Remember to wear your dressing gown and bring along a towel. The first 150 fans to arrive in their dressing gowns receive surprise Hitchhiker gifts.
12.30 – Session One – The Douglas Adams chat show with a full panel of Hitchhiker experts and friends of Douglas Adams discussing the great man and his work.
15.00 – Session Two – Eoin Colfer will give an exclusive reading from And Another Thing… and take questions from the audience. He will be introduced by Ireland’s multi-platinum selling band The Blizzards, playing their single inspired by And Another Thing…
16.30 – Session Three – HITCHHIKER’S LIVE ON STAGE! Simon Jones as Arthur Dent plus the original Ford Prefect, Zaphod Beeblebrox, Marvin The Paranoid Android and Trillian are set to appear in person – Improbability Drive permitting – along with intergalactic plutonium rock band Disaster Area, to re-create classic moments from the saga live on stage – radio-style. Joined by special guests stars including Eoin Colfer.
17.45 – Eoin Colfer will be signing copies of And Another Thing…
