I have not read the books. About to start the first one, only because a friend of mine inssisted so much on me reading it. He clasified it as “fairies-hardcore” LOL.
So bad I didn’t know about this books earlier.
Sorry!
But, I read they’re making a movie!? Yay!?
B/C I dislike having to read…and trust me, I know, I am writing a book…(okay, fine–I wrote it. I am now revising it and editing it).

Okay, I will read book one once I finish reading Catching Fire and 13 Curses.
Sigh…I want to just start…but three books at the same time is heavy.

I can’t wait for the book but I am soooo sad it’s over! It’s NOT over it CAN’T be over! Artemis can’t end!!!! I am a vegetarian because of Artemis Fowl I will not allow these books to end (I’m not sure what i can do about it but i’ll figure it out). Please Eoin Colfer if you read this (which you probably won’t) keep writing Artemis please please please! It doesn’t have to be the same series maybe a spin-off series like 20 years in the future or something please!

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.It is so sad that Artemis fowl is coming to an end. It has been no doubt the best series I have ever read. I must have read every book ten times at least by now. Arty, don`t leave us!!!!!!!!!!

My son has read every book several times….perhaps more than ten times each …we stopped counting at 7!
I myself ..in the midst of my 40ties… Have read most of them twice.

What makes your books different from others is your humour, the use of language and the way you challenge our minds.

Mr Eion Colfer,
I do hope this finds you well, that this will be read by you and not one of your underlings and that you do take the time to hear the opinions of your….’fans’, as I happen to be one of them no matter how distastfull the tital is I must admit to the fact that the Artemis Fowl series has been an obsession of mine for the last four/five years (since I was ten years of age).
The reason I have decided to get in contact with you is this,
I belive you are making a grave mistake with making this the last book in the ‘trilodgy’.
I have been to two of your shows at Hay-on-Wye and at the last one you said you would love to continue them but you were ‘running out of ideas’. To be frank Mr Colfer I am dissapointed with the fact that you havn’t asked your fans although I am not sure if I were in your position I would go so low as to ask for help, but I have many story ideas for future AF books and I would be pleased to get a reply from you asking for my suggestions.
Another thing that has been brought to my attention by one of my….underlings is that in the AF film you are changing the ending? Not to much I hope!
Also I have heard a rumour that you are planning to put books together for the first film! Which will never do, as each book is unique and each deserves a seperate film.
They attepted to do this with the ‘A Series of Unfortunate Events’ series which in my opinion, and the opinion of many others, was such a bad film, the books looked childish and reding them would be foolish!
Now I belive the reason you created the AF series was to make young people interested in reading more, now I assume you dont want young people being put off by the film so much that the series appears….less than it is, the AF series has built up my chariter and opinions over the years, it has given me a sense of pride and has guided me to where I am today.
It will be sad to see it go, or ridiculed, I hope to hear from you in the near future where i shall be giving you my many ideas and opinions….free of charge it is not often that I commit to projects without profit, something i learned from an old friend.

Am I the only one not completely horrified that this is the “end”? Don’t get me wrong, I will miss the books but I’m also a bit relieved as this means I’ll be able to write my fanfiction without worrying about it messing up what’s going to happen all I have to do is look at what has happened and continue it in my own way. Eoin Colfer may stop writing the series, but as long as there are people who love them as much as all of us on this site Arty and Holly’s adventures will never really end. Looking forward to seeing how he wraps it up (well we can pretty much safely guess that Opal will die, that is one drawback for writing about future adventures).
