“For Conor Broekhart, the only way out… is up…”
The words are still dancing in my ears after hearing the enthusiastic Eoin Colfer spin them into a story named “Airman”. Yr 6 were ecstatic to be part of this brilliant book’s launch. We barged excitedly into the spacey hanger of the Duxford Air Museum, ready for an incredible day of “Airman” adventures. The museums huge collection of planes and helicopters transfixed our amazed faces. We were so excited we couldn’t stop talking! I felt like I was bubbling all over with anticipation and amazement so much that when we sat down in a stuffy, crowded talk room I couldn’t stop quivering!
Amanda Craig of The Times reviews Airman: I could almost hear 11-year-old boys retching into their school-bags over this account of a mere boy brilliant at fencing, a budding inventor, adored by pretty Princess Isabella and made a knight. Dear All,
In the last video blog I said that the next book was out in January 2008- I should have been more specific- I meant my next book- not the next Artemis book- which I am still working on- the next book is the historic sci-fi I spoke about called Airman- no Artemis for a while. Sorry.
