  1. 1 Jonathan,

hello, im back, after a long stay on Cornelia Funke’s site… amazing the amount of story writers on that site…

anyway, once again annoyed that residents of Canada can’t join the contest for The time Paradox… But im glad its comming out in august instead of january like i thought, so that makes up for the no contest for Canada…

Frankly I’m amazed at the pace you’re writing though. I for one have slowed down to a crawl in my writing, as i’m nearing the end of my first book. But really I aplaud your great work, it’s people like you that make the world go round (i was writing my english exam today, and i was writing about how if there were no arts, the world would lose all personality and pretty much die)

    Well that’s my rambling…
    Have a great time writing,

    Jonathan, Aspiring young author…

This contest is so awesome. who thought of it? It’s so good, because it is exactly like the book, how people can read the book early.

I thought it was coming out on the 15th of July. Arg! 20 something more days of agony!

Okay, there I was on a very cold day looking for some info on the Artemis Fowl movie that has been placed on hold due to its high cost, when I came to this site and I spotted the Artemis Fowl competition.

Personally I think that is a great idea, releasing the book for the 10 winners before the release date. I wanted to enter but I couldn’t, unfortunately I live in South Africa.

Do you know what the worst thing is for me? Knowing that the book is going to be released on the 7th of August and I will probably not be able to read it before the 14th August. This is because there are no bookshops in my town Bethlehem which is in the Eastern Freestate South Africa. The nearest bookshop is about 280 kilometers away.

So now I will have order the book so that it could be mailed to me, which by the way can take anything from 5 days to 2 week’s to reach me. What a very fast postal system we have.

But as I know Eoin Colfer (I don’t know him personally) the waiting will be worth it.

    Note:
All Artemis Fowl fans please join me in prayer, so that the filming of Artemis Fowl the Movie can continue filming. I really can’t wait for it.

I live in South Africa too…

Why is the release date different in the US and UK?

Can’t we get it on the 15th of July like the US?

I am a great fan of the Artemis Fowl series and I can’t wait to see what happens in this book seeing that the last one was so good…

Eoin Colfer, I am your fan.
