Lovely to hear that a new Artemis may be in the workings soon. I’ve been an avid reader of the series since the first one came out when I was in middle school. Even if I’m changing diapers I’ll still take a few moments to read good old Arty’s latest adventure.

Eoin I just love all of your books! I am a librarian at a public school in the States. I try and read as many of the fiction novels I purchase, and I just can’t say enough good things about every book of yours that I have placed in my library. I am trying to get my students to read them, and once they do, they ask for the others. I am doing everything I can to build your fan base, just keep writing more about “dear Arty”. I can’t get enough!!
Oh, I’ve been to Ireland twice recently, and I love your country! It’s too bad my grandfather left (O’Neil) I could have been born there too!

It’s great to hear of an airman movie, and I certainly hope that I won’t be all dead when the new supernaturalist comes out. Just be careful with that hitchiker’s guide to the galaxy!

It’s funny that you mentioned in the interview that people will be too busy changing diapers to read another Artemis Fowl book. My wife and I have seven children, the youngest twins just born two months ago. I can honestly say that there are precious few things for which she stop just about anything for a day or two; and one of those things is a new Eoin Colfer book. I love the books, too; but I always let me wife read them first.
Thanks for the great writing. Can’t wait for the next book.

Another thing that is awesome: the fact that another Hitchhiker book is coming out. Man, I love this guy!! Artemis Fowl and The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy!

hi Eoin,
congratulations on writing the sixth Hitchhiker’s book – i have always loved Adams books – read zillions of times over – and i think you will do great. i was puzzled by your recent interview statements about fans complaining that there will be a sequel, so i went to some fan websites to see what was going on –

it’s pretty grim out there. i now understand why there will be NO followup movie to Hitchhiker – which i thought was great. these self-described geeks have a lot of hubris, but no knowledge. mostly, they don’t realize that Adams WROTE that screenplay for the movie, and that all forms of Hitchhiker are legit. (and there have been many).

i look forward to your new books (i’m in my 50′s and like all your books – i read a lot….), especially the sequel And Another Thing…

(i was going to post to some of the Hitchhiker forums to tell them all that they are just a bunch of asses, but it wouldn’t do any good)….maybe you have some pull with the movie people at Hammer&Tongs??

You know what would be crazy? If Douglas Adams is resurrected in the future and writes another Artemis Fowl book.

That would be awesome.
