To celebrate the forthcoming release of the seventh incredible Artemis adventure, we are launching a comic comp with the first chapter of the brand new ARTEMIS FOWL AND THE ATLANTIS COMPLEX.
Your challenge is to turn this first chapter into a cliff-hanger comic! Use all your artistic and design skills to make this
first chapter come to life in pictures. The winning entry will be chosen by Eoin Colfer to be transformed into an e-book and an app 3 as part of the buzz build up to the release of the new book.

I have just found out about this competition, and, as usual I cannot enter because I do not reside in the UK. It seems that most of your competitions are for resients o the UK, which is utterly unfair for the rest of the world. You have fans in other countries of the world, who would also like to be able to participate.

I was really excited for this competition until I saw the fine print stating it was only for UK and Ireland residents. There are a lot of Artemis Fowl fans in other countries as well, and I think it would be nice to be able to include them in this competition as well. Is there any possibility that this competition could include residents from other countries or if a similar competition will be held for other residents? I’ve always wanted to do an Artemis Fowl comic, and the fact that I’m not even elligible for this competition is really heartbreaking.

Only for UK and Ireland? That sucks! I live in the US! But I can’t really draw comics well, so it doesn’t really matter.
I read chapter one of The Atlantis Complex on artemisfowl.co.uk. Most dramatic, distressing opening chapter I’ve ever come across. Yay!

As other people have stated it is a real shame that this competition is only for UK and Ireland residents; I live in “The Land Down Under” and this is really upsetting, I’ve read the chapter and as usual it was marvellous, so it makes it doubly disappointing. I think you should reconsider future competitions and other to include at least some other major parts of the world!

Just to clarify the situation with this competition. The competition is being run by Puffin who publish Eoin’s books in the UK and Ireland – that’s unfortunately why the entries are limited to those countries. As Eoin has different publishers in the US and Europe and this competition cannot be extended to fans outside of the UK and Ireland. And finally Eoin is not responsible for the competition or the rules of entry.

I absolutely love the Artemis Fowl series, and this by far, has to be the best opening for any book in the series, or any book I have EVER read!! Your work is truly very inspiring Mr. Colfer! I don’t think I will ever tire of this series, I do hope you continue the series after this book
I like you other books too, but Artemis takes the cake!
Anyway, can’t wait to read more, and can’t wait to see those comics!!

The second I saw this, I went to read the first chapter, and it has made me come to the conclusion that I cannot possibly survive until July 20! Artemis Fowl is by far my favorite book series, and I’ve been driving my poor friends crazy with my obsessing as I wait. Good luck to those of you in the UK entering the contest- I’m in the US, but as I can’t draw to save my life, I’m not too upset. I can’t wait to see the winning entry!

this opening chapter has had me on the edge of my seat since i read it i seriously cannot wait for this book i may have to create a time paradox of my own and go forward in time to get it!
I’m so excited!! For a moment I thought Time Paradox would be the last book in the series. It fit quite well! =D
And now, knowing there’s still Atlantis Complex and having read the first chapter, which is soooooo great as always, I’m thrilled!

i love the artemis fowl series my friend told me to read the first and i was hooked i started on wednesday and finish with time paradox on saturday and i was also disappointed i couldnt particapate

I can not wait until the seventh book comes out! I have been reading the series over and over again (so far 8 times) since I’ve heard that there was going to be a seventh book. I read the first chapter of the Atantis Complex, and let me just say Mr.Colfer, you are the most amazing author ever! Harry P. should most definelty watch his back when Artemis comes back! I hope that you will persue writing in the Artemis Fowl category! Here, in the New York State, I have been trying to get others to love the book as much as I do.

OMG im soooo glad that Mr. Colfer has written another book as i thought that the time paradox edition was the final one!!! i dont think that i can wait for july 20th,even though theres only 2 more days to go!! i also really hope that Mr. Colfer continues to write more of this series at least another few! Mr.Colfer you are a credit to ireland PLEASE write a few more of ur wonderful books!!!!!!
I realy liked the seventh book a lot but doesn’t anyone else thin that Artemis is too out of charecter? I mean too, TOO much? Well, it good anyway, so… Pity about the competition being restricted to residents of UK. please hurry up and finish it Mr.Colfer!!

Hey! Foaly’s my favorite character! Way better than Artemis II. He doesn’t have many morals. You may protest that he’s gotten to be nicer, but not by much. I hope that we get to see Minvera return! It’ll be funny if she meets Artemis II again *chuckle* She’s now actually older than him now. Even if it’s only from a year to a few months. What’s she doing skiing anyway? I thought genii were supposed to be all about “brains over brawn”.
I am from Youtube and i used to reside in USA, New Jersey in Dayton East Garden Way. I miss it! Well now i live in India and i read all the books of Artemis Fowl except the demon one and the Atlantis Complex.
Even if the editor of the movie PERSONALLY gave me the tickets to the movie i would decline it cause i know how the movie is gonna turn out…later. I would ask for the books i didn’t read. And i hope he makes 2 more books and ends it on Book 10 not 8…remember 4+4 is DEATH!!!!!!!!!
