OMG It’s finally here!!! I hope the local bookstore has it… Unfortunately I recently spent my christmas money on a videocamera (which may or may not of came in handy if i lived in the UK or Ireland and could enter in the contest… oh well, I’ll jsut have to get a job at the bookstore (I have no idea how ill ever save up for a trip to germany when I constantly want to have a new book.) Congrats though, on another great publishing… Next up, ARTEMIS #6!
One question though. Do you have any tips for attracting publisher’s attention? I mean I’m sure that by now it’s much easier for you, having already published several books that weere a HUGE success, but what would you suggest to the aspiring author who has their own novel already written? (Mine isn’t, it’s only a few chapters in, but so far it’s great (according to myself and everyone who has read it), but I figre do the research before the thing is finnished, then I’ll have a head start) Could you please answer by text though? The video blogs are great and all, but for people like me that can’t get anything better than dial up, it doesnt work very well.
I’m sad to say that I haven’t written all that much over the holidays… I need my special spots, which just so happens to be the school bus bench and the solid library chair nearest the newspapers (no idea why, seing as I don’t read the newspapers while I write. Maybe an aura of litterary work, lol being silly).
N e way My bye
Thank you for writing the books that inspired my in the first place.
Finally! I cannot wait to get my hands on a copy! I have been waiting ages for a good book to be released and I know that with this author I won’t be disappointed!
Oh amazing news, can’t wait to get my hands on the new book!!! You are truly an amazing writer, Eoin! Can’t wait for the next Artemis Fowl book! keep up the awesome work, Eoin!
@ Jonathan, I have been writing lots of stories/books myself too, but none of them have been published so far. I do understand why, so I’ll just keep writing and keep trying to improve. Anyway, I just wanted to wish you good luck!! I’d love to read your story, since I love reading anything, and especially work written by a Eoin Colfer fan of course!
WOW! STROKE OF GENIUS
Mans dream of flying all in one book!
okay ppl i agree ive been trying to write a book for some time i have way too many ideas, but ive found this.
has anyone noticed how all the great authers(no offence eoin ure way at the top)seems to focus around a central dream. Eoin colfer is the exception-hild genuises isnt an altogether common topic but has proved succesfull. sorry im going of topic. basically j.k rowling was succesfull BECAUSE she used a them magic, mysticue and created a brilliant piece of a novel and done it with style. Now i belive eoin is doing the same, everyone man, woman or child has wished once in thier lives to fly like a bird-so by writing a story about it, weel, all i can say is you are the greatest auther,i have ever read.
ps-sorry about my grammer,i never had time to correct it.forgive me
Just read it,and thought it was amazing!Good work Mr Colfer!I shall be meeting you in London,to get my copy of Airman signed!
Eoin, what are you looking for to translate your best sellers in italian?
Please, give my best greetings to Eamon from him italian flatmate!
Eoin,
I love Artemis, but Airman is the best book you’ve written so far, and one of the best books I’ve read in my 25+ years of reading. Thank you so much for sharing your dreams and visions with us all. I await your future adventures.
dude i just got my hands on the new eoin colfer book and i on like page 150 where conor brokehart has to fight the battering ram and all i can say is that by how much i have read so far it is amazing and by how good this book is i cant wait to finish the Artemis Fowl series but i am only just starting book 3 but i am not even touching onother book untill i am finished with airman because there is an invetorous(sorry if i spelled it wrong) and exiting twist every time you turn the page!!!!!
Mr. Colfer,
You are my favorite author. And so far, ‘Airman’ is my favorite novel you have written. All I have to say to you is to keep on writing and NEVER EVER stop, as long as you live.
What I liked most about ‘Airman’ is the fact that it has a lot of realism despite the story being an alternate history of that century. Airman is a great book for people of all ages, and I would give it a 10 out of 10 if I were to judge it for the BEST BOOK IN THE UNIVERSE AWARD (Not that I’m a suitable judge though; in an average reader’s opinion)
I expect several others like ‘Airman’ in the near future, but please do take your time, we wouldn’t want an ANGRY MR. COLFER or a DEPRESSED one either.
