It would be absolutly wonderful if Eoin made another one! But even if he didn't, the last one ended perfectly.
It was too perfect...but maybe he could re-write it in a parallel universe, where things don't go as smoothly and he could make a SERIES!!!

I think airman was a brilliant but it has a strong ending, so a sequel would be a bad idea. I reckon it would be a better idea to write another historical novel, with different characters and a different plot.

Right now imon chapter 12, but i already want another airman. It's such a good book. i coulndt stop reading it! But what ireally want, is for conor to go back to his original self, conor broekhart and not finn and i want him to get together with Isabella!lol but anyways, Eoin, PLEEEEASE make another one. like previous ppl have said, there are pretty strong hints of a second one so i would appreciate it A LOT if u wrote a second Airman. Thanks, AIRMAN FAN!

Another "Airman" would make sense because of the way he ended it it just had more room for another book.

I loved Airman, but I think that a second might not live up to the standards of the first, no matter how awesome a writer Eoin is. If a book is not meant to have a sequel from the moment that the author begins it, it seems to come out almost forced sounding. I personally thought that the ending was good, but I somehow did not love it. It lacked something, maybe more excitement from him or something. Did he not spend two years in a prison/work camp thinking and dreaming of Isabella and his family, and then trying not to because he thought he would never see them again? I think that he should have been a little more ecstatic, maybe staying at the palace for a little longer before running off to go to college.
Otherwise I LOVED it and finished it in a day!

I just finished the book and I loved it. I am not sure how it got to the Mecklenburg Library so quick after it was released, but I randomly requested for when searching for audio books that looked interesting. I am real glad that I did too because I enjoyed the heck out of the novel. It had everything that you'd want in a book. My favorite character was probably Victor Vinyee (can't spell it right since I listened to the book on CDs). It's too bad what happened to him...
Well I hope everyone else gets to enjoy the incredible journey Connor goes through in the book. This has given me a taste for Eion Colfer and I am seeking out more by him now. Another Airman would be great! I'm sure the talented author could make a compelling story with the setting already being such an interesting situation.

I think maybe he should write the second book on Conor's little brother's adventures. that might be fun!

I absolutely loved this book, But in my opinion it would be wrecked in some way If he continued on with another book It just wouldn't be the same
And, a few people have said this, What would it be about? There's a really limited amount of stories he could do...

I think the idea of an alternate universe is kinda interesting but still, I think Eoin wrapped it up so neatly, there is really no "need" for a second book. For me it would be like exploiting an already dried out source.
Off topic: This is the second non-fiction book by Eoin Colfer that I have read and in my opinion they are improving (didn't quite like Half Moon, although that might be because I'm no fan of the genre), so please Eoin, keep the historical novels up. Maybe something about Vikings next time? (Would feel very "homey" for me since I'm Swedish ^^)

The way he wrote the last few chapters it seemed like, to me, that he was wanting to make a second book. He did end the book cleanly, but it was like he was leaving extra room incase he was to write a secound book which I hope he does because it was such a great read. When I reached the middle of the book I was already wanting a second book. Towards the end I was thinking there was going to have to be a second one because it was ending so fast. I hope that Eoin reads all of these posts and decides to write another one, heck he could even be righting a second book right now, I wish...

I can still see Conor trying to make the first official flight, with a German trying to stop him
Maybe Eoin could just write 3 short stories set after Airman, that is an option

The World is Crazy, do not try to change this, it will only result in there being less Artemis Fowl books (and many more unthinkable things), and that would be a negative.

Eoin should read 2nd Airman. Unlike usually, i got actually little bit touched by the ending of the first book and it would actually pretty interesting how Conor could make it in the race to the air along other inventors in that time.
