You know I've been thinking that it wouldn't be a bad idea to make a another airman book you know like a sequal.

Why do you think that? I suppose calling it airman2 would be a little dry oweing to the fact that he has already found the roads in the sky!

Airman 2 doesn't sound right to me, Just like it not Af2 but Af and... Off to Glascow, partying, going to gigs, generally being a fun loving genius...Then Bonvilian turns up. But what for? Revenge? to say sorry? just to be a pest? There is just so much room for a sequal or even a prequal, the generations of Bonvilian's and there opressees trying to fight them and maybe on that succeded but then got owned by a baddy and erased from history. I do hope there is a sequal so that I'll have something to look forwards to.

how about: it starts when he is at Glascow and then he receives a call from isabella that their country is at war with another country and that country has supperior knoledge of flight and so they need conor to come up with a new design that will save the country from domination and destruction. But their are a bunch of complications to his building of the new aircraft. and in the end they win and everything is all happly doodley and conor marries isabella and they have little airchildren who revolutionize the flight industry and come up with the 747 . ok lets leave the revolution of flight out of it.

I sorta think that, in this case, Airman should be left alone. Eoin's got enough on his plate with AF6 and who-knows-what else, so doesn't he deserve a break? I mean, he's getting two books out in one year! That's pretty amazing.

About a sequel to Airman...I don't think it's a good idea, really...because Conor already managed to build the first glider ever and Bonvillain is dead (which is good ) so there wouldn't be much point But something that I don't get is that...in the prologue of Airman, EC said that the whole story was absolutely true and that there was an article in Le Patit Journal that contained a picture of Declan, Catherine and Conor...but in an interview with EC that I viewed somewhere on the net, EC said that he made up Conor's name..so that would mean that he doesn't really exist I know I'm an idiot...

It's a common literary device used to get you to believe that the story is true. However, it was written very well, and I wouldn't be too surprised if it was a true story.

It is sort of plausible, isn't it? I mean, someone could have made a flying machine before the Wright Brothers.
But anyway, I agree that there shouldn't be a sequel. Where would you go? I mean, there's nothing obvious you can do with the characters now, and so I would prefer it to stay as just one novel.
Omg, I agree with some of you a while back about the whole whacking upside the head thing. XD It got kind of annoying. I wanted to shout at him, "C'mon! You know you really just want to go back to the Island and see your Dad, Mum and Isabella again!! D:". XD

Wow!
An amazing book worthy of much recognition. I would give this a 10 out of 10. The characters in this book are very deep and the emotions that the characters portray are so real. One of Eoin's best books. If any of you are thinking of a sequel this book feels like it was meant to be a stand alone book and I think it would be wise for Eoin to go back and concentrate on Artemis as I'm dying for a good book about a character I truly enjoy. Hats off to Eoin fantastic book mate!

I just loved the novel Airman,I actually think that this is one of Eoin Colfer's best books yet (of course not as good as Artemis Fowl obviously)! And I agree Bonavalin really is the perfect villain for that story, even the name to me sounds evil! .Man,I just can't wait till I get to meet Eoin Colfer in London!
